Fish squee, the...er. More-th
May. 25th, 2006 01:17 amLovely White is in his new home. After floating his cup for a couple of hours. During which he more or less paced back and forth with more of that polite impatience. Every so often he'd angle down, test to see that the bottom was still there (and still keeping him captive), then look up at me. And wait. Just hang there, staring me down (and I totally get the sense of a raised eyebrow in his look), then go back to his pacing. He objected mightily to the net, for which I can't blame him, but took to the new digs with an air of eager curiosity.
And like I said earlier, he was very gracious about his dinner, too. Didn't ignore it, didn't pounce on it, just surfaced and ate as soon as it was offered. There's something about him that proclaims 'dignified' quite strongly. All this, in pairing with his color, has decided me - on top of my initial geek-rooted thoughts on the matter to begin with - that his name shall indeed be Goujun. The dark scale-like patterning on the onecheek gill is icing on the cake.
Once he settles into his tank, I'm sure there will be more pictures. His gravel is ugly as fuck, and his plant isn't much better. Neither is Nataku's plant, for that matter, never mind that he's lounging draped all over it at the moment. But. I'm regarding the whole lack-of-coordinated-color-scheme for both of them as a temporary arrangement. I have them. That's enough for the moment. Especially since I slipped plain paper behind each of them to kill the uber-red of the wall. The red suits the room well enough. But it looks far too...blaring behind the fish. Eheh. ^_^;
