tj_dragonbladeMmh. I'm a little bit pink, rather than my usual day-glo white, but I've got sunshine all through to the marrow of my bones and it's a wonderful feeling. The weather has been gorgeous thus far this week, for which I'm entirely grateful. Is a good week to be off. We took AJ to the park earlier, and for whatever reason I decided to take the camera along. Took pictures of the creek and various bits of scenery; they're in the gallery if anyone's curious about what bits of Anchorage in spring look like. There are other places I want to go photograph; if there's one thing this town is good for it's the scenery. In summer. And I'll probably keep adding pics, at least until winter. Snow kind of dulls the enthusiasm.
Aaaanyway. AJ. Park. Sunshine all day. In fact, I'm actually writing this entry by hand in the tent in the back yard, while AJ alternates between playing and practicing writing his letters too. I'm sure it'll be much later by the time I get inside to transcribe it. Now if I had the whole phone-post thing set up, and had thought to bring the cell phone out with me...but no. Y'all get transcribed entries from earlier handwritings. Back-posted to the proper time. ^_^;
But yes. Sunshine, and warmth enough to sate my 'Zonie blood, and the sharp smell of Green in the air, and the cool almost-dampness of new grass under bare feet. It's Summer. Never mind that there are projects indoors I meant to be working on - it's too nice not to be outside. Mosquitoes notwithstanding. *slaps various bites*
In fishly news. The new Lovely White is still doing well, graciously ate what was offered, and seems politely impatient to get out of his little cup. For which I don't blame him. The water is rather dirty. I'll probably switch him over tonight.
