...I have a new betta.
He's still in his plastic cup.
I'm a little freaked out about acclimating and transferring him without killing him. See, I knows what to do with fishes in bags. But the cup ain't gonna float in his little tank to equalize water temps.
So.

*adds a tiny bit of tank-water to the cup*

Date: 2006-04-14 06:58 am (UTC)Only time this wasn't enough was when there were other fish in the tank. In that case, I transferred the betta to a bag and let him acclimate to the fish's presence a bit more slowly, just to minimize the aggressive reactions.
Just my two cents. Good luck. =)

Date: 2006-04-15 06:48 am (UTC)And I did figure out a way to get the cup floating in the tank (half-gallon size) in the end, so I ended up doing pretty much the same as you said. I appreciate the voice of experience. Thank you. ^_^
