Guheragh. Yes. There are times I hate being female. Honestly. Trade in alllll my woman-bits...'cept the boobs. Them I like, I'll keep those. They're quite useful, at times. ^_^ But the rest. Trade it all in for a dick. The embarrassment of an unexpected boner at socially inappropriate moments has got to be less headache than this damned monthly business. -_-;
I don't normally get the cramps like this, though. They go to my husband. I'm not kidding. I get the period, but he gets the cramps and the pms. Right on schedule, with me, every month. Go figure. 'Cept I got half the cramps this time. But he still got stuck with the pms. ^_^; Which I've learned to ride out, over the...ack. It's five years already? Yes. Five years in another week or two. Heh.
But yes. I'ma trade in the lower half of my equipment. A dick has got to be far less of a nuisance.
Aside from that. My sister-in-law took AJ for pictures in 20's-era garb, and it came out just too darned cute not to share.
...I bitch about womanly-ness and how sick of it I am, then turn right around and indulge in a moment of Mommy-squee... *shakes head* Feh. Whatever! ^_^
Nnh...chocolate. Chocolate? ...Chocolate. *raids the last of the leftover Halloween candy for the Hershey's kisses*

Date: 2005-11-18 06:14 am (UTC)Hee - thanks. He knows it, too, and takes every possible advantage he can get from it. Which are fewer and fewer these days, because that cuteness wears off really fast when he's trying to be cute so he can have his own way.

*snickers* Ohh, indeed. And 'proof'-positive that god would not be a woman. ^_^

AJ is amazingly cute. One doesn't have to feel any parental feelings to acknowledge that cuteness. He has such a confident gaze and a nice smile.
*more chocolate* feel better soon! (and don't miss the new Gaiden chapter Banri posted!)

Date: 2005-11-18 06:52 am (UTC)*returns, breathless* But--! But--! Agh! No Goujun! Aside from an almost-out-of-frame shot over his shoulder from behind (the hair. Nnnhh.) And the fact that there may be a little more of him in the script than the pics but I just can't read kanji, alas. Or romanized Japanese either, to be fair...

And a smart mouth, too, let's not forget that. ^_^ Or his little monkey toes, since he's too young yet to be embarrassed about me calling them that.
Forgive the repost; the italics seem to be bleeding down the entire page from my backwards tag. Hopefully this fixes it...

I noticed AJ's long monkey toes, too, but I thought that might be a weird thing to comment on. They look like Tav's, independently mobile and practically prehensile, and about twice the relative length of my own short stubby toes. *^_^*

Date: 2005-11-18 07:09 am (UTC)Yes, the theory. It works so very well, really! That after-Gaiden bunny of mine is still thriving patiently in its corner of my brain, too. I've done little with it besides trying to capture the most vivid images that thwacked me when it hit, but there's been absolutely zero time and focus for writing lately. Although I have in the past couple days got Tav's birthday fic moving again. After a good month or so during which I touched absolutely nothing of my writing. For which I say a tired but happy Yay. ^_^ The getting-fic-moving-again part, not the not-touching-it-for-a-month part. ^_^;
Yeah, AJ's toes are far more prehensile than mine are. He can twist and move them each independently of the rest. And his feet are huge - that was the first comment the doctor made before cutting the umbilical cord, even. #^_^#

Date: 2005-11-18 07:18 am (UTC)I am so glad to hear you've been writing again, too. I realize you've been insanely busy this past month, I've been worried about you. And I missed you.
Tav's still been keeping that GW poster set aside for you, too.
I haven't had much inspiration to write lately, either, at least not for anything that I can't manage to jot out quickly late at night when an idea occurs to me after my Inner Critic finally shuts off for the night but before I fall asleep. And I don't have "no time" as an excuse. ~_~

Date: 2005-11-18 06:48 am (UTC)Oh, yes, that's always fun to see and/or hear.
Also, on a completely different topic:
I haven't done anything with my writing in about a month, but one of the muses seems to have woken up at last. The sap/fluff/romance muse, which means that the fic I started on for your birthday challenge is moving again. Sluggishly, but it's moving. ^_^;
