She shared 'Black Black Heart' and 'Forestfire' a little while back; and on the merits of those two songs alone, I am seriously in need of checking out more of his solo work and probably Moist, too. A very unique and very appealing sound. Dark and cool and poetic. (Cool as in less-than-warm, rather than spiffy. ^^;)Something about 'Black Black Heart' in particular that I just fell in love with. And apparently, so did Nii; he starts whispering in my ear every time the song comes up and has promised me a fic out of it one of these days.

Agh! yes! You must check out more David Usher and Moist. If this proves to be difficult I could easily be persuaded to make an mp3 cd to send your way (or I could check out those places to upload and share big.files, been meaning to do that anyway).

Given an opening, I pimp David Usher and Moist like I pimp Saiyuki. And when I find someone who might be open to both... oh you have no idea how they collide. I swear at least half of the song lyrics for Moist's "Machine Punch Through: The Singles", which I had thought were just amazing metaphors, work as literal commentaries on Saiyuki (even though they were written and released before any of the Saiyuki manga). Your Nii needs to listen to "Gasoline" and "Machine Punch Through" in particular. Meantime I have dibs on "Leave It Alone" for a surreal "Kenren reacting to Gojyo finding Gonou dying" fic. And then there are David Usher songs with titles like "Unholy, Dirty and Beautiful" and "Too Close to the Sun" and "Devil By My Side" and... I need to stop babbling now before I scare you away, maybe. Or scare myself.

I would love to read what you make out of Nii and Black Black Heart.

Three tries. Three !#$#! tries for the Moist.zip. Damned connectivity crapped out on me twice, and it restarted from the beginning both times. Currently at 97% and my fingers are crossed. The solo zip dL'd just fine, though. Will be listening as life allows for...several days, in all likelihood. ^_^ Thank you again.

Um. Pardon me. Could you 'yousendit' me an upload of all of those too. I've only got David Usher's solo works. Little Songs and Morning Orbit, but i've not been able to buy any of the Moist CDs. I haven't heard Gasoline and Too Close to the Sun since i left Port Huron 3 yrs ago! *sighs nostalgically* I'm at erokappa@gmail.com. I heard so much of him over on 106.3fm from Sarnia, across the river.

I'm an unabashed fan, now located 200 miles away from the source of all that good music. My old border hometown. ^_^ I first heard his stuff back in 1998, but between one thing and another, never got around to getting a single Moist album, much to my dismay. Even after seeing him live in Sarnia on his Morning Orbit tour back in 2001. *sheepish grin* So maybe your burns will tide me over until i can.
