Multiple Points of Randomness

AJ scored his first goal today! Only one game left in the 'season', now, but he finally got in there and scored! So proud of my little monkey. ^_^ Can't believe he starts kindergarten in under two months, either...
To the person who anonymously side-swiped the passenger-side nose of my Jeep last week: Fuck you. Seriously. Especially considering there's a very high probability that you work in my office building. Not like I drive anywhere else, after all.
For the record: Grilled salmon is, apparently, highly explosive when re-heated in the microwave. What is particularly curious, however, is that the un-exploded remnants remain little more than lukewarm despite the explosion. Hm.
Oh, oh oh, and OMG Haagen-Dazs has this flavor, right, that I'd seen on FoodNetwork on this show they did covering this contest thingy that Haagen-Dazs held for people to come up with new ice cream flavors? Well the one I thought sounded best was this Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle thing, which didn't win - they went with Sticky Toffee Pudding whatever the heck that is - but apparently it did well enough to become a reserve flavor and I found it in the store up here and holy CRAP, this stuff is gooood. It's like sesame and coconut and ginger and cream all at once and if you can find it you should totally try it. Unless of course it doesn't sound very good to you, then...I guess you wouldn't want to. But. I'm totally hooked. ^_^; Like, totally fer sure omigawd, everybody! *slaps self*
AJ painted my nails for me last night. He used every color I had. Much as I liked the multi-hued result (pink! red! black! purple! glow-in-the-dark! green! white! different green! something between copper and wine!), I thought it might be prudent to unify the look before work this morning so I cleaned and re-painted them after he went to bed. I let my husband pick the color, though, and...er. I won't precisely say that I regret it, because he likes the way it looks, but...left to my own preferences? CandiedHarlot Cherry just...isn't me. I'm not overly fond of looking too terribly flashy, and...red of any red-ness just seems terribly flashy. I found a gorgeous translucent-iridescent-seafoam white that is much more to my liking. It's very subtle and understated on its own. It also makes a very complementary topcoat for this pearly-lavender shade I have; together (over a darker base-coat) they make a wonderfully mermaid-y, mother-of-pearl sort of effect that I rather like. The fact that the iridescing with the white makes me think naked!Goujun imagery from Kiro's fics has nothing to do with it. Really. *innocent look*
Nataku was very disinterested this morning when I went to feed him. A few panicky moments of observation (most of my dead babies began with disinterest in food, you see) led me to think that maybe he just had morning grumpies, same as I get, because he kept tunneling into his plant and glaring at me with this STFU-go-away-b*tch look. Which is a morning mindset I can completely understand. ^_^; So. He apparently ate after I left him alone, because the pellet was gone when I checked on him after my shower. And he's been behaving quite normally all evening. So I'm not freaking over him (not in the mood to lose another so soon, thankyouverymuch), but I will be keeping a close eye on him. Goujun and Kougaiji both seem to be just fine, btw.
I find myself missing my brother lately. Or...I mean, actively missing him at the surface of conscious thought more than the background-running-undercurrent it usually is. Not in an angsty-melancholy way, either. More a fondly-nostalgic sort of mindset.I keep wishing I'd had the chance to dress him up as Duo, or Gojyo, or Boma, or any number of others. Hell, he'd probably have his own ideas. He would have been such an anime geek. ^_^
Husband tells me Megadeth is coming back up in September. I must decide if I am going to go. Shouldn't pass up the opportunity, I suppose; it's not like many concerts come this way, much less many concerts that I'd actually want to attend.
Today was sunshine-y, bless it all. We don't see near enough of this weather. Not entirely used to it, either; we tend to wilt in our houses with their lack of air-conditioning. ^_^; But it's fabulous soccer-weather, and I pray that it holds through practice tomorrow. The Zonie-girl in me laughs at the idea that 77 degrees is 'hot' to me, now, but...like I said. Don't see much of it, now, and thus feel it more. I probably be sun-burnt tomorrow!
And gods, but I'm seriously in the mood to write some porn. I might blame the current music.I might blame the little white dragon fidgeting insistently near the forefront of my consciousness, too. Damned bedtime. Damned earning-a-living and all.
