Straightening the hair for cosplay took frigging forever, but it's turned out well enough, I guess. The full costume helps it the 'look' to emerge. No one recognizes who I'm cosplaying, though. There's a Minekura/Saiyuki panel tomorrow afternoon, though, which should have the people who'd recognize the cosplay. I'll have to be sure to hit that. And the GW meet-and-greet. Other than that, not much on the schedule really jumps out at me as being of any interest.
Registration was relatively painless. Currently, we're hanging out in like...a back-lobby banquet area? Atrium, the sign says, of the Clarion with Ponderosa and several of the people affiliated with her somehow or other. I've been introduced to Blue Soaring, who has a fic that I'd fangirled once upon a time. Inyx-sama has fangirls for Convincing Heero, too, which is funny because it's her only 1x2 fic and nobody knows any of the 5x2 she's put out there. ^_^ But. Fangirls. Er...well, 'fangirl' brings to mind a certain image that's not quite right. Grown-persons-of-fan with a flattering, articulate enthusiasm for the story. ^_^
Have crossed paths with Gnome and Neko again, who informed us that we apparently missed out on a couple hours worth of Turk-porn photography last night.
I guess I'd understand more what "Turk" meant if I knew Final Fantasy, eh? Heh.
Aaanyway.
There are totally more male bodies here than I expected to see.
I do wonder, though, where any Saiyuki fen might be. Not that I'm not enjoying the GW nostalgia trip and mingling - Quite the opposite, I assure you! - but...my passion at the moment lies elsewhere. And I'd like to indulge it at least a little while I'm here. And Saiyuki fandom is certainly big enough online, never mind the lack of merchandising available for it commercially.
Ehh. Panel tomorrow, so they say.

We~ell. Unni greeted me (of course!) by character name in passing this afternoon, which was an odd little thrill. And one of the swap meet dealers (who sounded British, I believe!) gave me the full 'Ah! Tenpou Gensui!' and started pulling out Saiyuki doujin. Hee. I ended up buying four, all together, Gojyo x Hakkai all. The one Gaiden I found that wasn't Tenpou x Konzen had atrocious artwork, imho, so of course I passed. And - well, I guess the Homura x Konzen that I saw qualifies as Gaiden too. ^_^ Someone else grabbed the Kou/Doku before I could, though. Ah well.
Have run into another (tie-less) Tenpou with Gaiden-Goku; have yet to get their pic ETA: and I never did, either. But I did snap a pic of Sanzo, Ukoku and Nii. All together. O_o Hee.
Got a couple Roy x Ed shots of Gnome and Zalia, as well; they're apparently doing the whole Turk-sex thing AGAIN now that Pond found a male friend to play Rufus. ETA: They tell us they ended up with well over 600 shots of the Turk-porn by con's end. Lobbies, elevators, restroom stalls... *shakes head*
Currently, Inyx and I are getting the room ship-shape for her Pop-Cult Anime preview party! Yey!
