Labcoat: Check. Needs some washing and rumpling, but check.
Shoes: Check. Not quite full-on Tenpou accurate, but they'll do.
Socks: ...Check.
Pants: Check. I'd forgotten how very un-flattering and not-quite-comfortable a fit men's pants have on my figure. Feh. And these leg creases have seriously got to go. Tenpou doesn't have neat crisp creases. Rumpled creases from days-on-end wearing, perhaps, or sleeping-among-the-books creases, but not standard white-collar button-down ironed-in creases. No.
Shirt: ...er. Check? Any tips on dingy-ing a bright white shirt? I hear tea has wonderful staining power...
Glasses: *goes cross-eyed to look* Check.
Cigarette: Check. Fake. Check.
Hair: ...Ah. Well. The length is right, and the color, and it straightens well enough. But as far as style? I'm still struggling with it, never mind that it follows the general lines perfectly when not-straight; I picked up a hair dryer at the thrift store as well in hopes that it might help with setting things before the gel/spray/what-have-you makes the hair curl again.
Tie: Check. *dopey grin* I never realized I had a tie fetish, but I spent far too longmolesting admiring them all racked up at walmart. Silky and shiny and slithery and soo many lovely designs in eggplant and wine and sage and--
I actually already had my tie, a non-shiny dark...dark blue, I think it is, from the thrift store. But the New Shiny were very, very enticing...
And, as it turns out, my husband knows how to tie a tie!! I never even thought to ask him; I simply assumed he wouldn't. *hangs head in shame* I feel so bad, now. But he was very forgiving about it, so...heh. *^_^*
Elsewise. Mordred is pleased to be back in spacier quarters, and to have his plant back again. I'm just paranoid as f*ck that he's going to take sick too.
And my husband is idly singing 'Holy Diver' while he's hooking up the little bubble-diver guy in AJ's aquarium. Which somehow, at this moment, strikes me as remarkably funny. ^_^

Date: 2006-10-10 03:31 pm (UTC)The crumpling instructions should work for the pants, too. If the fit is unflattering, leave the shirt untucked over it.
*very excited for you!*
