The absolute highlight of my day?

AJ grabbing the plastic sheath to his ninja sword and playing wicked air guitar on REM's 'It's the End of the World as We Know It'. ^_^

And then he asked me to put on "The Saiyuki Song" (aka 'Wild Rock' to you and me) and proceeded to continue with more of the same, plus a little Gene-Simmons-style tongue-wagging and a little enthusiastic throwing of the devil-horns. ^_^

Then he laughs, an embarrassed laugh, and says 'Mo~om! Just don't look at me!'

This is a proud, proud moment. *wipes a tear*

*points at music* I swear, when he sings along? His Japanese is so better than mine. *is jealous* ^_^

And then--and then? He strikes himself a nice little rock-god pose, and tells me, totally full of his four-year-old self, "I just always gotta be a rock star."

And then he asks me to go online and download him 'the Star Wars music' and starts singing me Darth Vader's theme music so I know which Star Wars music he's talking about. ^_^

I luvs my kid. Even if he does turn my hair grey. Early.
