Behold!

For I am a dork, and have named my proud little warrior fish Nataku.

Come! Come, and meet my Lovely Baby!

More pics

I'm so proud. ^_^ And enormously pleased that the pics turned out so well.

AJ's fish are doing good, too, even if their water won't stay clear. There's a couple pics of them in the gallery for good measure. That he took. I promised him I'd post them along with Mommy's fish pics. ^_^

He's such a gorgeous, graceful little thing. He's stopped playing snobby with his food, now, and eats as soon as he's fed. Not into finger-nibbling yet, though. Hee.

He was definitely a good idea. Thanks for the advice and encouragement along the way. ^_^ *hugs*

*grins* Well I'm really really proud of you for your don't-say-die approach. Having your first fish be a sick one is a really big obstacle in terms of inspiration but I'm really proud of how you've dug your heels in about it all. Nataku seems that he'll become a long-lived, strong, distinctive fish.

I'm glad to hear he's eating well...and *do* tell me when he starts playing tricks with you. D likes to tug, Phinneas *sits* in my palm (don't expect Nataku to do this one - by pure virtue of his genetics as indicated by his coloring, he's too temperamental for that), and Pinto likes following my finger through the glass, and "escaping" from a loose cage of my fingers. All of which you could try with Nataku...though maybe make a "cage" of two fingers if you're dealing with a smaller tank. Or something.

I'm always here for advice but you are doing wonderfully on your own initiative. ♥ for ya.

Oh, yes, temperamental's a good word. He's very stand-off-ish. Kind of has a 'Don't you touch me, Human!' stance whenever I bring a finger close to the glass. He backs off. Doesn't dart away, doesn't turn tail and disappear; just flicks his fins and floats backwards, watching me the whole time. Kind of a challenge, almost. ^_^ He definitely seems healthy, though, and sort of...arrogantly content. Like I said. He eats. He swims, he dances through and around the stalks of his little plant, he huffs and flares at his reflection, and he's even blown himself a nice little bit of a bubble-nest in one corner of the tank. Freaked me out when I first saw all the bubbles - 'OMG soap what the hell??' - and then I realized that he must have blown them all. ^_^; Eheh.

*grins* Bubble nests are love. So is sassiness. (I should make a colorbar. XD)
