Whoever said that deskjobs and paperwork aren't tiring or even 'work' has clearly never done either. I'm exhausted, and my brain is fried, and I've still got four more days before a weekend. 12.5 hrs Sat and another 12 Sun in the same damned chair at the same damned desk does not do a body good, I tell ya. Stiff. Burnt out. Carpal-tunnel-y please excuese random typos. And drifting mindlessly on my Nightwish CDs.
Uhm. Lessee.
- While Wishmaster was a bit of a let-down for a Nightwish CD, Oceanborn has totally restored my faith. ^_^
- Over the Hills and Far Away keeps that faith. Yes.
What else.
- Long story short, AJ's fish died. Both of 'em. Daddy took it much harder than he did. Daddy was ready to cry. AJ insisted on scooping them each out, carrying them to the toilet while bidding them a 'fast trip to fishy heaven', plopped them in the toilet, and flushed them with a solemn 'Bye bye Jody' and 'Bye bye Mody'. Not sure if I should be impressed by his maturity or worried that something that typically carries a negative impact for young kids doesnt' seem to phase him.
- Starting over again with a larger tank and less aggressive fish. And a little more research beforehand.
- Have found and bought my little betta starter kit. Will get it set up and begin keeping an eye out for just the right fish.
And please forgive, but I'm just not in the mood to sit or sit at a computer right now. So...I'll try to catch up perhaps by next wkd, but I make no promises. Anything important, best to send me notice or link or such please and thank you good night.

Date: 2006-04-10 03:36 pm (UTC)I think maybe the deaths of small short-term pets isn't so traumatic for kids that have poked bugs and dying worms on sidewalks and such? Something that's big enough to cuddle and has been around for years (=forever for a kid), that's different. I wouldn't worry.
Maybe you should treat yourself to a massage therapy session to thank your back for keeping it together, when you have time to. Or at least a pre-negotiated no-strings-attached massage at home (in practical terms, you don't want to do anything but rest it after the knots get worked out, or you won't get much benefit)?

Date: 2006-04-10 11:07 pm (UTC)I agree. Deskwork and stuff is horribly tiring and at the end of it, even though you feel tired, it's difficult to feel like you've done anything because you don't feel physically tired ^^;
