I spent a good three hours this morning on the phone with various state and government functionaries in North Carolina trying to gather information necessary for conducting business there. From 0930 or so on 'til about one, when of course it's five on the east coast and they're not there to answer phones anymore. I therefore spent most of the afternoon fighting off the urge to let the lovely drawl still stuck in my head come out of my mouth. ^_^;

Cold. 'S been cold all damn day, and I apparently can't turn the heat up any higher in my office. I swear to god the building is still running A/C, never mind that it's October. And individual space heaters are a fire-hazardous no-no, so I guess I'm just stuck to freeze. Dammit all.

'Kay. Dinner. Chow mein and sesame chicken. Check. 'Nother pumpkin to carve, check. Various other projects to do, check. Proper attention to old email...? Not so likely. *sigh* Check.

Is rainning and cold... Halloween is just around the corner, and I will be in school as Nii Jienyi and looking awesomely weird holding a bunny doll (laughs). Is Mom-Hakkai is going to dress up as anything? Perhaps, sneaking into Gojyo's wardrobe or closet?

*blinks*

*cracks up* The only reason Mom-Hakkai is raiding Gojyo's closet is to burn those pants he wore first season. Oh yes. *breaks out the lighter* Care to join me?

So you're employing the Nii-cosplay for Halloween too, eh? Good call. ^_^ I'm not sure how I'm dressing. The labcoat I was gifted with back in high school is of course rather too small by now. Meh. *shrugs* I'll figure something out before Halloween gets here.

Oh indeed.... Is a must those pants from season one must be burned!

Mom-Hakkai should dress up as Goujun from Gaiden (chuckles).

Mmh, yes. That would definitely be fun. Expensive, and potentially frustrating given the lack of good reference pics. But fun.

Hee. See, it wouldn't be so bad if I could develop some of that Alaskan blood that lets these crazy Northland folks go swimming in the inlet when it's only 60-something out in the springtime and run around in shorts when it's barely above freezing out like now. *shakes head at neighbors across the street* But alas. Four years here and I'm still running on 'Zonie blood. It's not warm enough for swimming unless it's past 90, yo. And it's got to hit at least 70 before I'll consider shorts. *shivers*

Yep. 75 is about the highest it gets here. Maybe 80 on the warmest days. 'Course, I am on the southern coast. Up north they ain't nearly so lucky.

Poor cold TJ... they had the AC and not the heat turned on at the church last sunday, too, and they'd had frost the night before. Urgh.

I have spare wool blankets, if you're not allergic to wool? Originally from here (http://www.peisland.com/wool/index.htm) but I got them free second hand. ^_^

Aww, thanks! Alas, wool makes me itchy. Don't know if it's a proper allergy or not, but it makes me itchy. ^_^;

-_-; Yes, indeed, that's intelligent planning. *bites tongue against making a crack about the collective IQ of organized christianity because nature dictates that there must be some nice normal christians out there somewhere who use their brains as they should*

Aww, wool makes Tav itchy too, and his mom consistently forgets that, which is why the second-hand wool blankets given to him got passed on to me, and I have spares.

And yes, I know what you mean about the collective IQ of organized christianity.... *sighs*

They didn't *plan* to leave the AC on, you see, it's a case of men too smart to actually read the labels on the thermostat, and insisting that they turned it "on" so all the freezing little old ladies were just being post-menopausal or something, it was all in their heads. Grr...
