Kamelot! Gahd, this is such wonderful stuff. Rich, textured, full-bodied speed-metal melodies to soul-achingly sweet-sharp ballad-ish-ness and strings! and lyrics both dark and light running the gamut from philosophy to history to lore and legend to religion to the mystic to the mundane and vocals a deliciously fresh variation of the flavor served up by Iron Maiden and Queensryche and '80's Helloween... *happy sigh* Unni? I thank you. Profusely.
*This* is music. *This* is metal. My ears are in a state of pure bliss. ^_^
And, on a completely different note, I find myself extremely grateful that I do not live in hurricane country. Occasional minor earthquakes are quite enough for me, thank you. My heart goes out to all those with selves, friends, and/or family in the path of Katrina. May you all come through it safely.
