Warm Fuzzies and Work

Y'know what AJ just told me? 'Thanks, Mom. You the best mother in the whole wide world.' (melts) And all I did was bring him his bathtub toys. ^_^ Moments like that make the tantrums and the frustrations worth it.

Ahem. Sappiness aside. ^_^ Back into month-end again at work. Which has been the major screwing-up point for me since taking over as asst accounting manager. So this time, I'm taking extra pains to make sure it all goes right. Communication--specifically failing to do it--seems to be one of my issues. I'm naturally introverted and somewhat anti-social, so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. But. I'm submitting informal status reports to my boss every day before leaving to let her know exactly where we're at. I'm touching base with each of my staff every day to make sure I know where they're at and what kind of help they need from me. And so far we're on schedule with no major snags and the next several days look promising.

I *can* do this. I *will* succeed.

I even made vague progress toward writing something today. Life might just be looking up again. *keeps fingers crossed*

My granddaughter is 4. Sometimes, if I help her with something or play with her, she will look at me and say "Thanks, grandma, you're my best friend."
