tj_dragonblade | I think I'm drunk on sunshine

Ahh, mein gott...I feel soooo good right now. Seventeen years in the desert, and I finally understand why people love summer. And why they sunbathe. I dress more summery up here than I ever did back home, because the sun is not so deadly here. I think my cleavage is more sunkissed today than it has been like...ever. I'm going to have so many new freckles in a couple of days. (giddy smile) I've got sunshine in my bones, yo. I feel like a big marshamallow. All toasted and crispy on the outer layer and just warm and perfectly squishy through and through underneath. (giggles) Ahh, me. Days like this are so rare. Sunshine and bbq and the in-laws over and even the demon-spawn children behaved themselves relatively well. (happy sigh)

And the music. I've had Rawlins Cross and doa in the ears most of the day. This song in particular just bridges both sounds so nice. The rhythm and the cadence of the lyrics has a very celtic-folk feel to it. Maybe it's the 6/8 time sig...at least, I'm relatively sure that's what it is. It has been a very long time since I had any real experience with music theory, though.

Mmmmmm. (stretches lazily) Three days off already, and I'm home tomorrow too. Joy. ^_^ I do hope everyone else's day has been as nice as mine! In some form or other. ^_^

...ouch. Mmh. Okay, that's more of a burn than a kiss, I see. Silly me. I should have used sunscreen. ^_^;

Uhm. Yes. If the sunshine's the intoxicant, then the sunburn is the hangover. I *know* better. Why didn't I use sunscreen? >_< TJ no baka...
