love how you've captured the feel of the painting/poem in relation to one of those typically ignored characters--an echo to everything that happened to her.
side note: *points ecstatically at icons* The Fall of Icarus by Pieter Bruegel is my absolute favorite painting and the reason i started my NejiNaru fic entitled the same thing. *g* small world.
