Jul. 19th, 2007 09:22 pmToday at work consisted of editing a convoluted first-draft (drafted by my boss) of procedures for a convoluted inter-departmental support-job billing process interspersed with playing tech-support via telephone for my husband as he tried to figure out how to get his gaming console tapped into our wireless network. Both of which are things that I enjoy and which give me a sense of genuine usefulness never mind that I know next to nothing when it comes to hardware and networking. *shrug*
Currently I am nursing a grape popsicle and merrily revising the hell out of an old half-written bit of crack!fic Goujun porn. If I can get him feeling consistent with where my sense of 'in-character' has evolved to by now, I might find the impetus to actually do something with this. *crosses fingers* Unfortunately, I'm having the damnedest time getting a decent feel for the layout of his office and the design of that chair he sits in...
More importantly, though. I'm making plans to upgrade my mp3 player in the coming months, because I've maxed out this little 8-gig device...three times over, by now, and need something bigger. I'm considering moving to an iPod. I have a long-standing generic inexplicable aversion to the iPod, however, which brings me to my point.
I can't pin down any real reason for this aversion, and I'd rather not resist it out of plain old-fashioned pig-headed-ness. So as part of my research, I ask any of you iPod users out there - What do you think? Are you satisfied with your iPod? Does it play anything you put to it (a great deal of my music library is *cough*lessthanlegal*cough*)? Are there any drawbacks? Notable perks? What has your experience as an iPod user been like?
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
