End-of-Vacation Post
May. 30th, 2007 09:54 pmOn the final day of my 'vacation', I look back at what I've managed to accomplish:
- Bike paid out of layaway; two bike rides taken with the boys. This town has lovely bike trails all over the place, so that's a summertime plus. A little out of practice, TJ is, but the bike is working out much better than the rollerblades did. ^_^;
- Hair trimmed back a bit, as the short-bob look was growing a bit beyond the 'bob' parameters.Need to update my TJ icon to reflect the change in hairstyle that I initiated last year...
- No writing accomplished, alas.
- Watched a few more episodes of Gunlock (yes, I know, I'm slow), and find myself more appalled by anime!Hazel than I think I'll ever be by his manga counterpart. I rather like manga!Hazel, as a character, but anime!Hazel? Not so much. And Gato doesn't look too good animated, either, imho.
- Kept my little Zakuro-chan on a diet of nothing and cooked inner-pea-flesh, and finally, I hope, he might be past his flotation issues. He's been un-floaty since early this afternoon, longer than the previous five-minute bouts of un-floaty-ness I've coaxed out of him in the last few weeks, and...truthfully? I'm scared to start feeding him regular again, for fear of re-initializing his problems. *wibbles* Fish-mommying is not easy.
- No camping, no barbecuing, no sun-soaking - the weather's been entirely sh*tty for such things, alas, but there's naught to be done about it. Hopefully we will see some sun as the season progresses, more so than last year.
- Did not kill the demonspawn in the first two days they've come over! Go me.
- Collected and read some good fic, some great fic, and some fic that wasn't really worth the time but there's no un-reading it once it's read. *shrug* Batman!Saiyuki was entertaining, however...
- Finally found an online dealer (Thank You Brad!) with Reload keychains in stock and ordered a Hakkai (and a Sanzo - do they not make Goku?) to keep poor lonely Gojyo company. I coulda put him with Shikamaru, to be sure, but Shikamaru's designed on a larger scale and...well. Can't have Gojyo feeling inferior, now, can we. ^_^ Also ordered Kenshin, since he was there...

And now, back to work in the morning. Ugh. Hopefully my focus and sh*t will be in better working order than it has been of late.
