...You're going to be seeing this icon quite a lot this winter, I imagine.
I hate snow, yes. Not really for itself, but...for all that's associated with it. I hate that it's come in October already, and will last through until May. I hate the way people drive when it's the first snow of the year. I hate that a fifteen-minute drive to work takes more than half a bloody hour because of the way they drive. I hate that I have to get up quite a lot earlier to allow time for cleaning the car off as well as warming it up and to allow time for the sluggish, omg-SNOW-I-forgot-how-to-drive traffic. -_-x I hate that it's dark already now when I leave work. I hate that 4WD burns gas faster than not. I hate that running the car to warm it up and thaw it out burns gas out faster than not.
But hell. If I lived back home, I'd be bitching about the sweltering summers. There's always something to complain about. So...feh.
Elsewise. Goujun-fishy got past his swim-bladder issues a couple days ago and is now in much better health. Except that he's got a new tear in his tail, when the old one had just healed up. T_T I'm inclined to attribute this to the stress of fighting against the un-natural flotation for a day; he probably tore it somewhere in his futile struggles to swim down instead of bobbing on the surface.
Nataku is feisty as ever, though. His tail seems to have recovered pretty well from his biting. It's just shorter. And redder, since he chewed off the band of blue. Kind of makes his color look more red all over, where the teal used to be equally as prominent. Ah well.
And Mordred is still alive and seems healthy too, despite my fears after Konzen died. He seems happier in the new tank; I actually saw him flaring hesitantly at his own reflection last night when he's hardly done that since I brought him home. He's spending less time lurking in his plant and more time peeking out the glass, too. ^_^
Elsewise-er. I am taking a hiatus from LJ and most of the internet for...at least the next couple of weeks. Personal self-improvement-y-type reasons, as well as an attempt to focus on my writing, which grows more and more horribly neglected by the day. I'll likely keep checking email throughout, though, particularly as I've a fic in beta at the moment, so...if there actually is some reason a body would need to reach me, that'd be the way. ^_^
