There's this sign on a building that I drive past at least once a week. It never had any noteworthy significance, though, until I read Wild Adapter.

Is it just me, or does time go by faster with every year? I mean, wal-mart etc. have been touting back-to-school sales since mid-July. The Halloween store appeared in the mall last week - in staging, mind you, and not open, but still. It just feels a wee bit early.
