To the guy in the express-line ahead of me at the supermarket: '15 items or less' does not mean 'Eh, I'll slip through here fine with 25'. Yes, I counted, thank you. Also, your cologne? I daresay it's enough to knock an elephant out cold. Lay off a little, eh? And no, your bratty demanding little kid is not cute.
To the person who left the german-chocolate brownies with coconut-pecan icing in the kitchen at work when I'm determined to stick to a healthier diet and enduring my Regularly Scheduled Proof of Womanhood: -_-x Go to hell.
To myself: Wrap your leftovers a little better, Teej. Today's lunch tasted rather distinctly of Refrigerator. -_-
To whomever this may interest: I learned, over the weekend, that the name 'Jeep' came about when 'general purpose', the vehicles' original descriptor, was abbreviated to 'GP'.
Also. More music!
Cause & Effect: You Think You Know Her
Because the same friend I keep talking about (I should bully her into an LJ so's I have a name to apply to her ^_^;) slipped me this one. Mostly because I pounced her and demanded it most impolitely when her husband played it. ^_^; You see, this is a song that was heavily played near the end of my eighth grade year...1991, it would have been. I liked it a lot, and still do to this day. But. I never knew who the artist was, or what the name of it properly was (because it's not one of those where the name can easily be picked out). Benjamin and I had thought it might be Depeche Mode early on in our DM obsession, but we quickly learned enough to realize that no, the sound is all wrong. OMD, New Order, Erasure, and various other bands of similar sound whose names escape me at the moment were likewise considered and discarded. I've gone on for years, you see, not able to get hold of this song for that lack of knowledge. With a little hole in the fabric of theTapestry of Musical Trivia that I pride myself on. And now, at last, that hole has been filled. That itching Need-To-Know has been sated. With the added bonus of having the song in my possession. In two mixes, even!
*is quite happy* (early 90's electronica and dance music will do that to me)
Note to self: Remember to Limewire Snap/Rhythm is a Dancer.
It's just a little bittersweet, though, in that it leaves me wishing Benjamin was still around so I could share the long-sought knowledge, however trivial.
...Y'know what? A long, bubbly soak in the bath would feel really good about now.
Too bad the tub ain't big enough. ^_^ Ah well.
