Blahblahblblah and Music!
Nov. 21st, 2005 10:55 pmFor the record? The weekend's experiment in wireless interenet, which I don't believe I've even mentioned, is a bust. We're hooked back up to our DSL and will be returning the wireless modem tomorrow. Perhaps if we were not on the fringes of their service area, and in a bit of a valley to boot. Ah well.
Also. Work. Is not really going all that badly, in terms of my stress levels. Much overtime to be had, though. Which is good for the pocketbook, especially with the husband out of work again. But. I am very, very glad of the impending four-day weekend. ^_^ Very.
Have also managed to get a bit of writing moving again. Gojyo and Hakkai being very sweet with one another. Perhaps a little too sweet, but the sap/fluff/romance muse seems to be the only one awake at the moment. ^_^;
On to the music!
On a wee bit of a celtic kick, the past few days. Starting with this little gem, courtesy of my dear friend Mel back home in AZ. It's a quick little comic ditty that never fails to leave me grinning. A bit naughty, but tastefully so. Tastefully enough that it'll likely go over the heads of kids younger than seven.
The Scotsman
We also have a band I found through Yahoo radio, by the name of Flogging Molly. They're...honestly, the only way I can really describe them is Irish traditional punk. Raucous and rousing and strangely ear-worm-y. Some for fun, some that feel a little more political. Take a listen. 'Tis good, it is. ^_^
Devil's Dance Floor
Salty Dog
Seven Deadly Sins
What's Left of the Flag
Rebels of the Sacred Heart - which seems to be just about the only one YahooRadio will play anymore, but also the one that ended up enticing my attentions.
