*Stretches*

Agh. What a week. *shakes head* Payroll quit. And then it was decided that the newest member of accounting was not working out and would need to be let go. Thankfully that was not my duty to perform. But the stress of it all still has its impact. I've managed both interviews I've had to conduct. My boss tells me I managed them well. Which is good to hear, especially when it's feeling much less 'well' from my side of things. ^_^; Gives me a little more confidence for those still to come. Because I've got two positions to fill now, and not many applicants yet. Which means that for the immediate future, workloads are going to be heavily increased on those of us who remain. Especially with this being the busiest time of the month. Thankfully the two I have left are both highly capable, effecient individuals and--to quote my boss--we'll limp through as best we can.

*shakes head again* But. That'll hit Monday. For now, I've got another day of weekend to unwind. Which is good, because I've been sick all week. Mildly so, thankfully. Vitamin C regimen and sinus meds that keep things flowing rather than swelling and clogging have been very very helpful. If I can breathe, I can function. And it's utterly vital that I be able to function this week and the next...several, I imagine.

Weather got very cold very suddenly with that snowfall. Probably has something to do with my getting sick. Leaving every morning with wet hair doesn't help things either, I'd imagine. Scarf. Scarf would be good. *makes note to keep using it*

My foot still hurts, from a couple of weeks back. More the foot than the ankle. Bruised, they said. It's more bothersome now than it was last week, oddly enough. Meh. *shrugs* Healing process, I suppose. Once it straightens up again, I'll be back to the stairs.

Currently half-watching a documentary (yay for laptop and the multi-tasking ability it grants!) on the evolution of the human species with the husband. Fascinating stuff. Can't help the feeling that if religion didn't interfere with such things being discussed and/or taught in schools, racism might not be quite the problem that it is.

Then again, maybe not.

At any rate, the documentary is much better than the Power Rangers Ninja something-or-other that AJ had us watching earlier. Ohh, lordy. The original Rangers were never top-notch TV, to be sure. But I didn't realize how bad the subsequent series had gotten. Thankfully there was a lovely boy, an Ishida Akira look-alike in cute little square glasses, to save the viewing from being an entirely painful experience. *shudders*

Nnh. Also. I have a new bunny in my collection. A Beanie-Baby bunny. The most adorable little thing, with very russet fur. I'm not in the habit of naming my stuffed animals any more, but I'm horribly tempted all the same to name this one Kou. ^_^;

I have the feeling there was more I meant to say. *shrugs* If it comes back to me, I'll...er...come back. ^_^
