Music and Musings...
Oct. 22nd, 2004 09:00 pmI may have found myself the perfect Nii-Kou writing soundtrack...I haven't been making much progress on my Daiji Na Mono fic (or *any* fic, for that matter) recently; but I pulled out the Evanescence CD today and suddenly, while staring at the fic-in-progress and listening to 'Going Under', little bits started to come un-stuck...so after playing the whole CD through a couple of times, I went back and looped the first track again and lo and behold, the ficcage continues to cooperate. (huggles Nii and Kou happily)
The lyrics, should anyone be interested:

...Hmm. It rather loses something, without the music...nonetheless. It fits the mood of the Kougaiji half of this ficcy quite well. Despite being sung by a woman.
In other news, regarding Carpe Diem--as I know there are a couple of you out there waiting on it (Kenen--(snickers)--I swear, I *am* getting to your email)--I have recently re-read the thing, all ten chapters/73 pages of it *and* the half-finished side-fic; and progress *will* be made in that direction if I have to flog the damned muses to their imaginary graves and back to do it. Duo, 'Fei and Trowa *will* have their threesome. Come hell or high water. Perhaps tackling the side-fic and wrapping that up first would be a good way to go...and I still have to transfer the bulk of the fic to a seperate disc. The one it's on now hasn't got free space enough to let me save any changes I make throughout while re-reading...
Too bad I haven't stumbled across any glaringly 2x3x5-ish inspiration in my vast music collection...(sighs)
On the subject of music...I'm loving those DOA tracks. I don't suppose anyone's got any more? Heck, if anyone had the ending song ('ID', I'd guess it's called?) from Reload...or any other music out of Saiyuki, or stuff of the like that you'd recommend...some of the songs used in Gundam Wing were pretty cool too...the J-Pop/J-Rock stuff is refreshingly different than the bulk of what I hear on the radio these days, and I'm becoming addicted. And I'd love to hear that other Maroon 5 song that keeps popping up on people's 'Current Music' selection - 'Tangled'. Like I said, I'm going to have to pick up their album one of these days...
