On a Delightful Saiyuki High...
Sep. 5th, 2004 04:03 pmAfter helping AJ achieve a new high score on Pinball, and answering the census-taker's questions, and throwing a couple loads of laundry through, at last a moment for myself...
Yesterday turned out to be quite fruitful, in the end. AJ went off with his aunt and his cousins for the day; so after daddy and I did some errands, I was free to comb the town for an early copy of Saiyuki 4. Because I've seriously been craving it. No luck at Waldenbooks downtown. No luck at Barnes & Noble. No luck at Borders. No luck at Suncoast or either branch of my local comic shop. But I did find the Burn: Heat Guy J Orig Sdtrk CD. And after dithering over whether I wanted it enough to pay $15 for it, I went ahead and splurged. And while I hate paying so much for a CD, I must admit that it turned out to be worth it. The music is one of the things that hooked me on the anime. The principal artist looks to go by the name of Tryforce; it's a bit of a jazz-funk-rock-techno-celtic fusion sort of thing...(grins contentedly) Delicious. Simply delicious.
So I threw the CD in the player and drove across town to the Northway mall, hoping that Waldenbooks there would have the manga out early as I've seen them do before. Lo and behold, I finally lucked out. Parental advisory warning and all. (makes face) So I grabbed it (and Pet Shop 8 since it was there too) and sat myself out in the parking lot to read it.
( Could Be Spoiler-y )
Anyway. Seriously looking forward to the next volume, now.
Dammit, now the afternoon is utterly gone and I've still got to go run errands...feh. So much for catching up on LJ. At least I don't work tomorrow; perhaps I can get to it then. Though I really ought to be using the time to work on my fic for the Fork in the Road challenge, yes? ^^;
