Some kids today...just so damned rude...

So I'm a little grouchy this morning. And on top of that, I have to cut checks at work. At my last job, we printed checks on a laser printer. Fast, efficient, painless, and *quiet*. But at *this* job, the Powers That Be are a bit phobic for one reason or another of laser checks and so we have these old dot-matrix continuous feed Okidata Microline 590's to deal with...my *god*, I swear that sound is worse than the dentist's drill. They make this horrible shrill squealing stuttering grinding noise...(shudders) Sets my teeth on edge. Plus the template in the computer is off so I have to keep stopping the printer & re-aligning the check stock because the print keeps jumping up a significant fraction of a line with each new form and no one seems to know how to fix it...(mutters & glares at Evil Archaic Printer)

There. I feel better...off to the ol' grindstone again... ^_^
