(blinks) Go me...

Well. Out of the blue, today, I got a promotion & a raise. Wonder of wonders & go figure. (blinks) (shakes head) I haven't even been there but seven and a half months...and I'm only there because my boss recruited me from my old job ('cause I used to work for her there, too). And she keeps telling me that her bosses are very impressed with me...honestly, I'm flattered, but...I don't quite get it. I just do my job. (shrugs) Glad they see something they like. I'm not going to complain! Promotion and higher pay are very good things. Even if I'm moving out of the accounting department. And even that's a positive thing, in the broadening of horizons & all that stuff.

Two downsides: I hafta trade my office for a cubicle for the time being, and my workload will increase. Which is only a downside in that my ficcing time will therefore decrease. But I oughtn't to be working on my hobbies on company time anyway, right? ^_^'

So overall, I'm excited. Even if it doesn't show.

I'm onto a fourth page with my Saiyuki fic. ^_^ Now *that* I'm excited about. It's shaping up nicely. I think. I hope. Still a little uncertain with my characterizations, but...that only improves with time & practice. (shrug)

I'm antsy for the May manga releases. Saiyuki and FAKE and Demon Diary and Pet Shop of Horrors. And I need to pick up Les Bijoux 2 now that it's out. Not to mention Pet Shop 4 & 5. And Rurouni Kenshin 4, which...supposedly was out March 10, but it's proving most elusive still...

At this rate, I'll be eating up that raise in no time flat. -_-'
