Oh, yes, I'm quite sure that I bought a sick fish. Especially when most of the rest of their betta stock when I was there yesterday afternoon look notably sick. I'm a little peeved.
But I am at the same time rather prematurely attached; I spent a good hour browsing through all the fish. Made Jeff go wait in the car so as not to be rushed, waited until I found one that kind of said 'Hello. My name is ___, and I would like to be TJ's fish.' Y'know?
So. It's about noon, and the store should be opening soon. Off to get meds.
If he does die, though, I am definitely going to take him back for testing/replacement per store policy.
I'm thinking that it's probably better, though, to wait until a new shipment arrives and pick one up that very first day, before they've sat so long that their water's gone foul and diseased. *sigh*
