Post-move and still frazzled

Dude. My new office? Is not square. I've known this since I got the floorplan some weeks ago; but dealing with it on move-in day really brings the weirdness of it into full dimension. Bad enough that there's this cumbersome support pillar eating up space and window against the outer wall that I've got to plan and design my furniture layout around; but the fourth wall is not at right angles with the other two thanks to the hallway outside widening gradually into the reception area. Bloody strangest damn thing I've ever encountered in an office building, for certain. I can't snug my desk into the front corner where it'd go best, because the corner's obtuse and I'd end up with this little wedge of empty space so I had to totally re-think my layout and everything's setup now in the opposite corner, which is actually closer to the window. Which is quite nice, aside from the glare it creates on my monitor. But there're fixes for that. In the meantime, the slanted wall is home to my bookcase (currently empty as everything's still packed) and my boxes. It's mostly behind me; so I can hopefully ignore the not-square-ness. I'm either going to learn to appreciate it for its eccentricity or it's going to drive me nuts. Can't quite tell which way we're going yet.
So. Yes. If I'd been bright like most other folks, I'd've worn my grungy clothes today. But TJ no baka wore her nice slacks, and spent most of the day moving desk components and file cabinets and the bookcase, crawling about under desks re-wiring the computer cables (and I'm ridiculously proud that I managed to solve all my wiring issues and get everything hooked back up properly without having to bother IT) and unpacking some of the more immediate concerns. Tomorrow should see progress on the rest of it. I've got a punchlist of things I still need to make happen arrangement-wise once the people designated to assist with such things aren't swamped by similar requests from everyone in the building. Hopefully the missing chair-mats will all reappear in the next couple days; it seems that no one has been able to find them since the move and I begin to think that perhaps the movers either left them behind entirely or delivered them to the wrong place somehow.
The new building is nice, though. Even if my walls are cockeyed and we haven't got keys yet. All the plumbing in the bathrooms is the automated sort; but strangely enough there are still only paper towels for hand-drying vs. those hot air dryer-thingies. And as far as I'm concerned, the elevators don't exist. They're out of my way, really, as the stairwell is nearer to both the back entrance that I use and the accounting office on the third floor. Two flights of stairs up and down at least once a day will be good for me. *resolute* God knows I'm far too sedentary as it is.
Anyway. On a fandom note. Did the Snow Drop storyline get animated into Gunlock? If so, can someone give me an episode number? I'd like to go browse the screencap galleries for certain pics. 'Cause really, Gojyo looks too damned adorable in braided pigtails. ^_^
Got my hands on the licensed hardcopy of Reload vol 1 manga, you see. It's been awhile since I read the online scanlation; I'd forgotten how somberly heartbreaking that storyline is.
Ack. That Compass deadline is fast approaching. I'm going to have to take the muses back from Hakuryuu for a few days if I aim to have anything remotely resembling an entry ready in time...
