...What does it say about me that, even as someone who's only passed along the fringes of the Harry Potter world, I see 'HP' in context of office printers and I still think 'Harry Potter' before 'Hewlett Packard'? ^_^;

In other news: He vetoed. "My review shows that there is clearly a lack of quantifiable evidence necessitating this ordinance," the mayor said. "My review also shows that the vast majority of those who communicated their position on the ordinance are in opposition."

Dammit. Equal rights is not a matter of popular opinion, for chrissakes. We're all of us human, however different we may be. And just because there's insufficient 'quantifiable evidence' of a wrong doesn't mean that wrong should remain a possibility with no legal recourse to fight it if/when it does happen. 'Let's let discrimination stay legal until we can prove that enough people have been discriminated against.' *siiiiigh*

I'm disappointed, but not in the least surprised.
