Real stories, great characters and the voice casting was awesome besides
(nods fervently) And not just 'cause I'm a trekkie, either. ^_^ Every voice in the show was well-suited to the look and personality of the character. And there was none of that horrendously over-the-top villainy that seems so hard to avoid these days...
Samurai Jack kicked ass too
(grins) Especially with the Scotsman...those remain my favorite eps. Particularly when they set out to rescue the wife... ^_^
Though I'm not quite sure just yet what to make of the American Imitation-Anime trend (Teen Titans coming to mind at the top of the list). I mean, on one level I kind of appreciate the acknowledgment that anime is so popular and the recognition implied by imitation; but at the same time it's like have we as a country become so un-original and un-inspired that we can't come up with any ideas of our own and turn to copying others?
